Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church

In 1891, the congregation acquired a one-quarter acre tract on Monroe Street in Leaksville from Mrs. Louise Morehead and others. A small frame church was built circa 1891 on a nearby site, but it no longer stands. The building recorded as Mt. Sinai Baptist Church was built by local builder James M. Hopper and completed in 1921. The building recorded as Mt. Sinai Baptist Church was listed in the National Register of Historic Places on 25 June 1987.
