Christ Episcopal Church

Christ Church Parish was created in 1741. Before 1751, lots on the north side of Pollock Street between Middle and Craven streets were saved for a church. The building recorded as Christ Episcopal Church and Parish House was built in 1824. On 10 January 1871, a fire burned the church, leaving only the brick walls and base of the tower. The building recorded as Christ Episcopal Church and Parish House was listed in the National Register of Historic Places on 13 April 1973.
